Dog Walking

At Wainwright Walks, we believe in treating your pets as we would do our own, and understand that your peace of mind is key when entrusting us with your dog. We also work hard to ensure that your dog enjoys their walk as much as possible.

Dogs are pack animals so love to walk together in groups. However, to ensure we can care for all dogs under our control, and to ensure we are fully insured, we never walk more than 6 dogs at the same time.

After picking up your dog in our specially modified van, we drive out to carefully selected quieter walking locations. This enables us to let the dogs walk “off lead” if you have given your prior approval to do so. All of our walks are GPS-tracked so that you can be confident that your dog has had the walk you’ve paid for.

Exclusive Walks

If you want to give your dog a special treat, or an extra-long run, or if your dog prefers their own company, we can offer exclusive walks. Exclusive walks can be as short or as long as your wish, and are becoming increasingly popular with clients who struggle to find time to give their dogs a good run and the opportunity to burn off some excess energy.

Each Exclusive Walk is tailor made to your dogs’ needs, age and energy level, so can be as long as you like. You can even decide upon a choice of locations or walking terrains to ensure that your pet gains the maximum enjoyment from their experience.

Pet Home Visits

Whether you are going on holiday, or working away from home, you may prefer to keep your pet in familiar surroundings rather than taking them to a cattery or kennels. Whatever your reason, we are here to care for your pet in your absence, ensuring they feel comfortable and content in their own home, and providing you with peace of mind, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We can provide day-time visits for any pet – not just dogs! We have experience of caring for a wide range of domestic animals and can tailor pet visiting services to meet your specific requirements. We are fully insured, and all our staff are DBS checked and pet first aid trained.

Pet Sitting

Wainwright Walks can provide pet sitting services when you are on holiday, or working away from home. Overnight pet sitting is the perfect option for multi-pet households, rural properties, or for pets that do not cope well in traditional boarding facilities. In addition to your pets feeling safe and comfortable in their own home, our pet sitting service provides the additional benefit that your home will appear occupied while you’re away.

We typically stay overnight in your home from 8pm to 8am, and can return as often as you require during the day. We can tailor our pet sitting service to suit your specific needs. We are fully insured and all our staff are DBS checked and pet first aid trained.

Our pet sitter will require a clean bedroom and bathroom to be provided. A home visit will be required prior to the pet sitting period to ensure suitability.

Please note that it may not be possible to provide our pet sitting service at times during the current Coronavirus pandemic.

Pet Chaperoning

An increasingly popular service is pet chaperoning which enables you to have your dog attend your wedding or civil ceremony. The happy couple want to share their big day with those they love the most and this can now include the four-legged member of their family. However, wedding days or civil ceremonies can be frenetic not only for the happy couple but also for close family and friends.

Our pet chaperoning service enables you and your guests to focus solely on enjoying your big day whilst still having your dog present during the ceremony in in the official photos.

We can pick up your dog before the ceremony and make sure they are fed and watered so that they are relaxed and happy before the main event. We will also make sure that any toilet trips are discreetly handled! After the ceremony, we can return your pet to the location of your choice, leaving you and your guests free to enjoy your evening.

We can tailor our pet chaperoning service to suit you, combining it with our dog walking or pet sitting service. Contact us today to discuss your specific requirements.

Pet Transport

Our pet transport can be valuable for a variety of reasons. If you are elderly, suffering from an injury, unavailable, or you simply don’t have an appropriate vehicle, we can provide pet transport services using our specially modified vehicle.

Wainwright Walks can safely transport your pet to the vets, groomers, a friend or relative or to anywhere else they need to go, and return them safely home again.

Our vehicle has been specially modified to transport pets safely with small, dog-sized compartments, air conditioning and dedicated ventilation.

Please note, we are only insured to transport pets so are unable to transport their owners. If you wish to accompany your pet to their destination, you will need to arrange your own transport while we transport your pet.
